I found this delightful little purple flower growing in my side garden. I was outside searching my yard for anything to photograph, when I found it. I’m loving that this Project 365 is pushing me to ”see” my world differently

Well its another rainy afternoon and this birdy has decided to take adavantage of the abundance of fresh water in our pool to give himself a quick bath. I know its not the clearest shot, but I really like the movement of his wings.

Today we have a guest photographer..Jayden my 11 year old son! Jay grabbed my camera this afternoon when we were at my mum & Dad’s house, and was busy snapping away. This is my favourite shot that he took, a fly landing on Dad’s home grown chilli plant. He did a pretty good job considering his age and ability level.
Seems he’s learnt alot from accompanying me on many photo shoots.
The Deets: Canon 60D, 24-70mm @ 58mm, he had it on auto setting and I cropped it in PSE10, and did a slight sharpness adjustment.

I am always intrigued when I see shoes hanging from power lines – the mum in me thinks “how very stupid and irresponsible, and boy oh boy is their mum going to be mad when they see their shoes hanging up there” and the long lost teenager in me thinks”wow they look cool hanging up there for all the world to see”….. so it is with mixed feelings that I post this photo. I hope you like it for the young freedom it represents and not for the irresponsibility

Well Project 365 found me back out in the neighbourhood searching for inspiration…when I came across this amazing gum tree…the bark was fascinating. It had about 4 layers that were slowly peeling back and falling off. The bark reminds me of crocodile scales…what do you think?

This darling little flower is growing on the hedge right outside my front door, and it smells divine!!! I think it is an orange blossom….not really sure but it is just so sweet…

Todays image is just a bit more urban than any of my others…but kinda cool at the same time. I’m not generally a fan of graffitti, but this was commisioned by the business where it is displayed, and the artist is obviously very talented!

Look at this beauty! It was growing on the side of the road, and it is huge!!! the actual flower was about 6-8inches high and quite wide…it was just amazing.
