These machines are snow groomers. At the end of each day, they drive over all the ski runs to smooth them out to have them ready for the next day…they are amazing, they go sooooo high up each and every slope, they are phenomenal to watch.

I love that this looks like a starry starry night when actually it is really heavy snowfall under flash…. again taken at Sun Peaks Canada, this was shot at about 8pm, in the middle of quite a heavy snow fall.

Oh I LOVE this photo…it is part of a frozen tree in Sun Peaks main street. I was amazed to see that the ice had formed around the twigs and leaves..it is just soooo amazing and so delightfully pretty

Absolutley gorgeous…I think this is one of the best photos I have ever taken. I just love how the leaves are totally encompassed within the ice.

This photo is looking out from inside an igloo!!! How cool is that! I love this perspective…I would love to take credit but Tristan took this photo on this point and shoot. We were on a snowmobile tour so I couldn’t bring my DSLR…I think he did a great job.

And this is us outside the igloo…it was awesome! It was built by the snow mobile guides and I think they did a great job. You can fit 12 people sitting inside.

This is the BEST photo…its of ME, lol…nah its because it’s SNOWING!!! yep I’m in Sun Peaks, Canada and its snowing…what a difference to our home in Brisbane, where it is sooo hot. I LOVE the snow in my hair…its just awesome.

Todays photo is from the plane window on my third flight for today.I am flying to meet up with my middle son Tristan who has been living in Sun Peaks Canada for the last 4 months as part of a six month working holiday. I’ve so far flown from Brisbane, Australia to Las Angeles, USA , then from LA to Vancouver, Canada. This last flight for today is from Vancouver to Kamloops on a small propellar plane, which was great until the right engine wouldn’t start! And this engine just happened to be outside MY window! So hence todays photo of the maintenance staff working on the engine before we took off – eventually

Ok so I think this is the last flower in my garden…I found this hibiscus down the side of our house that I never go down as we have it blocked off so that the dogs don’t go down there and bark at the neighbours…

This whispy flower is another that is growing in my garden…I can’t believe I have never noticed these tiny flowers growing before…just goes to show when you start really looking, what you can find

Whilst in the backyard yesterday, I saw this pretty pink hibiscus and I have to thank my darling hubby Dave for holding up some white card to act as a reflector. The shot was taken quite late in the afternoon, in the shade, but our impromptu reflector did a great job
