I am always intrigued when I see shoes hanging from power lines – the mum in me thinks “how very stupid and irresponsible, and boy oh boy is their mum going to be mad when they see their shoes hanging up there” and the long lost teenager in me thinks”wow they look cool hanging up there for all the world to see”….. so it is with mixed feelings that I post this photo. I hope you like it for the young freedom it represents and not for the irresponsibility :)

Day 51 – 20th Feb, 2012

Well Project 365 found me back out in the neighbourhood searching for inspiration…when I came across this amazing gum tree…the bark was fascinating. It had about 4 layers that were slowly peeling back and falling off. The bark reminds me of crocodile scales…what do you think?

I was talking to my neighbour when out of the corner of my eye I saw this gorgeous frangipani flower growing in her garden, it was just so pretty :)

This darling little flower is growing on the hedge right outside my front door, and it smells divine!!! I think it is an orange blossom….not really sure but it is just so sweet…

Todays image is just a bit more urban than any of my others…but kinda cool at the same time. I’m not generally a fan of graffitti, but this was commisioned by the business where it is displayed, and the artist is obviously very talented!

Look at this beauty! It was growing on the side of the road, and it is huge!!! the actual flower was about 6-8inches high and quite wide…it was just amazing.

Well after the rain…the lawn grows, and must be cut…I love how Jay is concentrating so hard on getting his mowing right. It was the first time we had allowed him to use the ride-on mower and he loved it. :)

We were hit by a doozy of a storm today…which was pretty awesome in itself, but then as the rain started to ease I looked outside at this magical water droplets everywhere and the whole world had that glow that comes after a storm…it was amazing :)

Day 43 – 12th Feb 2012

I told Dave & Jay all about Curtis Falls and how pretty it was, so we decided to take a Sunday drive to check it out, and to let me take more photos. Well they were quite impressed by how beautiful it all is and I was happy to get this picture of the staghorns growing soooo high up into the trees…they were at least 50m off the ground….just awesome!
